Georges Koch De la Torre is a Managing Partner at World Health Opportunities whopp.org. He has extensive expertise in international business development and social worldwide.

Originally from Quito – Ecuador half Swiss, after graduated of High school in Sciences in Quito, he been in Basel to learn German, then back to Ecuador to study in the University the 2 first years of medicine in Central university in Quito, then continues in Lausanne University in the faculty of medicine and been in the Osteopathic school in Belmont, and also in the faculty of languages with French, Italian and Portuguese, during his studies he been part of the medical team of the Lausanne fireman department and also he was sous officer of the medical troops of the Swiss army.

Passioned of travel he turns his career, study & graduated in EHL Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne “top 1st worldwide Management School” then start to work in CHUV Hospital Lausanne, Nestle Nespresso, and travel to Thailand, where he was involve in the opening of various 5 start Hotels and Luxury Villas, during his 12 years in Asia, he was part of the Royal Thai immigration Police, since few years back to Switzerland based in Martigny where he open whopp.org. Now he manage a complex with social support and he is part of Skal International worldwide as deputy director and Skal International Montreux Vevey President.

Eric Ballestraz is a Managing Partner at World Health Opportunities. He has extensive expertise in international business development for pharmaceutical products, with a focus on key regions such as Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Previously, he served as the Vice President for Latin America at the Swiss multinational company Octapharma AG, where he successfully led the commercial expansion of Octapharma in South America, working closely with local partners in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile.

Eric has also held key positions at reputable companies such as the French technology company Biolog-id, the telecom company Peoplefone AG, and Nestlé AG. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago School of Business and a Business Administration Diploma from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.
Currently based in Boston, USA, Eric lives with his Ecuadorian wife and two children.

Lucy Baldeón Rojas - MD, MSc, PhD

National coordinator

Lucy Baldeón Rojas is a national coordinator at World Health Opportunities whopp.org. She has extensive expertise in biomedical research projects and medicine.
She graduated from Ecuador’s Central University with a doctorate in medicine and surgery. She then completed her master’s degree in Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Amsterdam’s Vrije University and her Doctoral studies in Immunology at Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where she conducted research on the connection between microRNAs and diabetes. She returned to Ecuador in 2013 to carry out further studies on the immunological processes of inflammation in chronic metabolic disorders. She has created, organized, and carried out several biomedical studies. Numerous scientific publications written by her have been published in indexed journals.
She has received numerous honors, including the Dr. Eugenio Espejo Award from the Pichincha Medical College, the Central University of Ecuador Award of Life Sciences, and the distinction of woman of the year for “Breaking the Cristal Ceiling”. She is a professor of immunology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador and a researcher at the Biomedicine Research Institute “Dr. Rodrigo Fierro.”
